I know I’ve flown the coop but I’m back! First things first: I’ve been hard at work on my project AND I FINISHED IT!!! Major accomplishment and I AM THRILLED!!! This was not a work related project (boring). This was something very important to me. I created something. Now I have two more projects inContinue reading “March 3, 2021”

I’m feeling sick. Yesterday, I woke up at 5:00 a.m., left at 6:30 a.m. to get gas, stood outside in the freezing cold while my car got an oil change, drove three hours to the hospital, ate a lousy turkey burger, got chemo, drove three hours home, ate a piece of toast, fell asleep, wokeContinue reading “February 18, 2021”

My tumor marker has been less than 0.5 for months which is the lowest value blood tests show. I’ve been off the tough drugs since December and now the CEA is 0.6. An experiencedContinue reading “February 12, 2021”

The surgeon’s office called today to set up a time to talk. We’re meeting early March. I am afraid. It’s not having surgery – I’ve had three open surgeries – it’s THIS surgery. I need to wait, listen, ask my questions, evaluate. Sounds good – now if I could just do that. Spent the dayContinue reading “February 10, 2021”

Great news! Got my test results today – ALL NEGATIVE!!! No inflammation. Blood work is excellent. Here’s what seems to be happening: the chemo pill can cause the side effect I’m experiencing (muscle/joint pain). My symptoms got much worse while taking the chemo pill but started before. The culprit? Most likely, Avastan. A “rare” sideContinue reading “February 9, 2021”
